Journal for Day 1
I. What are the things did I accomplish today? and what skills/task did I learn today? (enumerate and write short description)
A. Encoding files and documents
- Some things I accomplished today is that I successfully encoded different file types used in the barangay, such as certificate of residency, oath of undertaking, and the barangay clearance.
B. Better Understanding of Barangay procedures
- I became more familiar with the processes when issuing official barangay document.
C. Managing paper works
- I became more organized when dealing with paper works while also maintain efficiency when having multiple files.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
When having to handle the files, I find myself having a hard time when files are stacked during printing. Since there are many people who need to inquire for different official documents, being in a hurry is a must, which ultimately causes me to feel disorganized.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Some tasks that are taught to us that were also taught in school is mainly dealing with technology, and having an efficient time management. The things that are not taught in school but are taught to us, is accessing and encoding government based information coming from different people.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
Today, I realized many new things and the value of learning using real-life experiences. While also in the the barangay it is important to be accurate and detail-oriented when dealing with official government documents. Lastly, it is important having a clear understanding of how processes work when working.
Journal for Day 2
I. What are the things did I accomplish today? and what skills/task did I learn today? (enumerate and write short description)
A. Registering an Account
- I successfully helped some people who wanted to inquire for official account in the Barangay Gun-ob Website.
B. Assisting the client
- I practiced effectively communicating with people who want to open up an account so that they can acquire the given files they need.
c. Document Processing
- I helped facilitate the distribution of official files, helping users acquire their needed documents.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
I find myself having a hard time if the client doesn't properly and inaccurately fill up the information that they have to comply to create their account. Additionally, managing the distribution of slips while asking questions for the client was also difficult as it requires focus and quick problem solving.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Registering accounts while ensuring accuracy when inputting the information are tasks that were taught in school. Meanwhile, managing the distribution of slips and assisting the users' are not directly taught by the school but were only practiced.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
My general insight for today is to balance and improve my multi-tasking skills so that
I can effectively serve the clients when making their accounts. For today, I also realized that by being patient, calm and confident in my skills and communication, I can handle different tasks and provide better service for the clients.

A. Better understanding in the account creation of the clients
- With my continuous experience in the account creation for the people, I improved my understanding of the process to ensure they can access their needed files easily.
B. Encoding and Printing Files
- I continued to encode different files and printing various documents, like permits, and barangay clearance, which refined my multi-tasking skills and speed in handling files.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
I find myself having a difficult time if there are new files and documents that needs to be encoded that I am not familiar with, since this requires quick thinking skills that ultimately affected my accuracy.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Encoding the information, printing files, and account creation are skills that were taught to us in school, because it relies on basic computer and and organization skills. However, memorizing the workplace, understanding different file types that are not familiar for me, and building trust within your colleagues were not taught, but are learned through practical, and real world experiences.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
My general insight for today is that with continuous exposure to the experience and combining learnings, I have improved my efficiency and adaptability to my work. Through this learning, I have realized that I am continuously growing and improving as an individual, which will help me in the future.

Journal for Day 4
A. Encoding more documents efficiently
- Today, I was assigned in registering the accounts for the people. I also continued encoding files, which enhanced my speed and accuracy as I became more familiar with the process.
B. More adaptability to my workplace
- I gained a more deeper understanding of how different tasks work in the barangay. Additionally, I have now memorized the document organization for different files needed by the clients.
C. Getting to know my colleagues even more
- As we continuously work side by side along with my classmates in the barangay, I get to know my fellow colleagues even more, which help me become more efficient when I work as I get to communicate with them.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
For this day, I had a difficult time making the account as there are some people who don't properly fill up the information needed before they get the documents they needed. I also had a hard time dealing with computer errors because of the insufficient information given by applicants when making their account.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
The task of encoding and making the accounts for the applicants are all tasks that I encountered in school as it is part of basic computer knowledge. Handling incomplete information from clients and fixing computer errors in real-time are tasks that were not taught in school, as it requires practical experiences who are in this respective field.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
My realizations and main insight for today is that by being patient, focus and resourceful, I can improve my skills more efficiently and effectively with continuous experience in my works. Along with that, I have also realized that, communication within your colleagues and mentors are a must in the work environment, as they are the ones who can help guide me in finishing my work, and improve my skills, not just when working but as an individual.

A. Effective communication for account creation
- I practiced clear and concise communication to guide users, ensuring they understand what is required.
B. Enhanced teamwork skills
- This day, I enhanced my team working skills, as I get to communicate with them better as we work side by side.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
On this particular day some tasks that I encountered when I was working are having difficulty handling the account creation of the applicants because they do not fill up enough information. Another difficulty I had is explaining the required information to the applicant´s clearly.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Some tasks that were taught in school that I used during work was: communicating with the applicants effectively, and adapting to my work environment. Some tasks that were not taught in school are assisting the clients in the account making, and work flow management, as I need more time and experience to be able to fully memorize the flow of other documents in the barangay.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
For this day, my general insight while working is that it is important to communicate with your colleagues effectively in your work. I also realized the importance of helping the applicants with clear guidance and effectively communicating with them. Another realization I had while working is that, I need to value patience, and clarity when working, while being time efficient.

I. What are the things did I accomplish today? and what skills/task did I learn today? (enumerate and write short description)
A. Be more understanding and helpful regardless of the applicants situation
- Today, a skill that I have learned is to respect and understand applicants, regardless of their circumstances, while also showing them patience and compassion in assisting them.
B. Practice effective communication
- During this day, I have improved my skills when communicating with the applicants, as they need a guide so that they are able to fill up the information they need to acquire the files they needed.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
This day, I found it difficult to ensure that all applicants fully understtod the instructions I provided, as some applicants need extra clarification or unfamiliar with the given information, or the process. I also find it challenging to manage multiple applicants at once while also maintain patience and accuracy in assisting each one.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Giving clear instruction and actively communicating with applicants are skills that I learned in school through different activities that will improve my way of communication and presentations. However, understanding and empathizing with the applicants situation while guiding them was not directly taught in school. Additionally taking initiative to assist other without being told to is a real-world skill I have developed further through different experiences.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
My general insight for today when working is mainly empathizing with the applicants regardless of their circumstances, and continue to guide them with different forms of effective communication. I also realized that by being initiative and attentive to other´s needs is important, as I get to help them whether it´s only a small service for them. With my realizations today, I will apply this for the upcoming days and continue to use this everyday to improve who I am right now as a person.

I. What are the things did I accomplish today? and what skills/task did I learn today? (enumerate and write short description)
A. Improved communication and service to applicants
- This day, I became more communicative with the applicants who want to open an account before they claim their documents. I can say that I have improved my service as, I am more now more confident compared to my previous days when working.
B. Strengthened initiative and focus
- Today, I I took greater responsibility in assisting the applicants and remained focused on their needs throughout the day. This is to ensure that each individual receives the help and assistance they required.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
The task that I find difficulty when working today was handling the inaccurate information given by the applicants and giving them a more simpler instructions so that they are able to fill up the information they need to claim their respective documents. This required extra patience and adaptability to ensure they understood the process correctly.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Providing clear instructions and communicating effectively with other people are tasks I encountered that were taught in school through activities through different group works or activities.However, dealing with applicants that need assistance, and showing understanding and empathy to other people are all skills that were not taught in school, but rather learned thorugh life experiences.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
As an overall learning during my work today, I have gained a more deeper understanding of why effective communication is important and necessary during work and in everyday life. The reason for this is because with clear and concise communication, it helps avoid misunderstandings, builds trust, and ensures tasks are completed more efficiently. Overall, this particular day taught me to be more confident with my communication skills, and improve this as I work for the following days.

I. What are the things did I accomplish today? and what skills/task did I learn today? (enumerate and write short description)
A. Improved communication with my colleagues and mentors
- During this day, I improved my communication with my other teammates whenever I need help in filing documents I am not familiar with, while also confidently communicate with them if ever they need my help.
B. Better organizational skills
- Today, I improved my organization skills in creating the accounts of the applicants and in filing documents. I believe I improved this skill while working today, the reason being that I became more familiar with my environment now and I became more active when working.
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?

During this day, I have a hard time doing my task if ever multiple files are stacked, and need to be made in a hurry, as this causes me to become more stressed when working affecting my focus. I also have a hard time whenever our mentors are not around when I need help, which ultimately affects the time-efficiency when I'm working.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Some of the tasks I encountered today, like organizing accounts and improving communication skills, were taught in school through certain group activities and presentations. However, dealing with different barangay documents, understanding certain government requirements, are not taught in school, as these are practical skills learned while we're working.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
As this day was full of different learning, my general insight for today is that every task, no matter how small, contributes to my personal growth and skill development. I realized the importance of being open to my teammates and asking questions to help improve my understanding. Additionally, balancing what I’ve learned in school with real-world experiences is one key to become more effective in my work.

A. Teaching new colleagues in filing documents
- Today, I had the opportunity to teach my new colleagues how to encode the files before printing for the applicants. I also get to guide them in how flow of files are handled in the barangay.
B. Encoding more files for the applicants
- I continued to encode more files for the applicants, and also got the chance to teach my new colleagues how to encode them after registering.

II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
During this day, some tasks that I encountered while I was working was mainly if there are many applicants who need their files to be encoded quickly. I find this specific task to be difficult to handle for me as this affects my overall focus during encoding, and it also causes me to make small mistakes that ultimately affected my time-efficiency in handling files.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
For this day, guiding and teaching my colleagues how to do certain things are tasks that were taught in school through different activities. Meanwhile, multi-tasking different files in a hurry and accurately to avoid misinformation in the documents are all taught while working through encoding experience while working.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
As a general insight for today, I have learned that helping others is a big must in the working environment, as each person has their own role to help and contribute to the success of the barangay. I also also realized that I should still continue to develop my multi-tasking skills without overall affecting my focus when encoding files to keep the information I'm inputting accurate to what the applicant's filled. As an overall insight, I will continuously improve my way when working to become a more responsible individual in a working environment.

Journal for Day 10
A. Completing my Immersion
- This day marks as myt last time working in the barangay hall and, I have completely finished my 80 hours of working
B. Sharing my insights and learnings to my mentors
- For this day, I have shared my overall learnings while working in the barangay, and I have also expressed my experience assisting other people to claim the documents they need in the barangay
II. What specific task/s I encountered that I find difficult to accomplish? Why?
As a general insight for today with my experience working in the barangay, I have learned that I am capable of doing works and dealing with problems that require quick solutions. As a general experience for this immersion program, I have also realized that I really need improvements in my way of working, initiative, and overall approach to tasks. I’ve also come to understand that while I can handle pressure and think on my feet, there are areas where I can still grow, especially in taking more initiative and enhancing my organizational skills. This immersion has shown me the value of being proactive and continuously learning from each experience. It's a great opportunity to refine my work ethic and adapt to new situations more effectively.
During this day, some tasks that I encountered that I have difficult dealing with is mainly if the applicants do not properly and accurately input the information that need to be filled in. I also have a hard time assisting the applicants due to the reason that I have encountered some computer errors which are out of my control.
III. Which of the task/s I encountered that is/are taught in school and which are not?
Some tasks that I encountered while working today that were all taught in school is mainly dealing with solving problems that require quick thinking. This is taught school through different activities, situations, and overall experience. For the tasks that were not taught in school, dealing with computer errors that only the staff and employees of the barangay know is a challenge since it's specific to the internal systems and processes.
IV. What is my general insight of the day? How did it improve me as a person.
